‘Halo’ star says he’s ready to go back to ‘Star Wars’ for the next movie

HONOLULU — The star of the popular “Halo” franchise said Wednesday he’s eager to return to the franchise’s “Star Wars” universe for the “Star Trek” sequel.

“I’m ready to get back to the movies and I’m ready for the new movies,” John Boyega told ABC News.

“The new movie is just beginning.

I don’t know what I’ll do.”

Boyega’s comment came during an interview on the latest episode of the CBS Television show “The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.”

Boyea’s last appearance as Captain James T. Kirk in “Star Search” was in 2009, but his role in “The Last Jedi” could change his path.

Boyega, who played Spock in the original “Star Fleet” movie trilogy, said he would like to be in the next film, but not “Starfleet” 1, “Star Enterprise.”

“It’s a good question, Craig, I donĀ“t know,” Boyega said.

“If it happens, I will go to the next one.”

Boye said he has always liked “Star Command” and will be in for “the next one” even if it is not a continuation of the franchise.

Boye, who was born in Hawaii and raised in California, said his parents have had a hard time getting the franchise back on the ground.

“It has been a long time coming, but we are all rooting for it,” he said.

“We are so excited for it, we don’t care what happens to us.”
