A busy car booking could soon be a lot more affordable.
BusinessWeek reports that luxury vehicle rental service Kia Motors is in the midst of a new $10 million expansion of its luxury car fleet in North Carolina.
The company announced the expansion on its website.
The expansion comes amid the state’s push to increase its luxury tax revenue to $7.5 billion this year from $4.7 billion last year.
Kia’s new car fleet is slated to go into service this fall.
The automaker’s new fleet will include two models, the Kia Touring and the Kianas.
Kiacos luxury cars are already on the market in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
The Kia car rental company says the new expansion will expand its luxury fleet to 12 models with a combined total of more than 3,000 vehicles.
The new expansion is just the latest in a line of expansion that Kia has been doing in North Carolinians favor.
Last year, the company announced a new fleet of five vehicles, including the new Kia Coupe and the new S2000.
Kia Motors CEO Mark Kocher told BusinessWeek that the expansion will help Kia to “strengthen our brand and to attract customers to our new luxury cars, to give them a more competitive edge.”
