Business Insider article Business insider and mobile business coach Matt DePaula says that it wasn’t until he started working at Apple and Google in 2013 that he actually started to understand how mobile technology worked.
“I’d never seen it before,” DePauli says.
“Google is the only company I’ve ever seen that really has this huge business model, and they do have these very sophisticated mobile tools.”
DePauli started his career at Apple where he was a product manager and then spent the next six years at Google, where he’s been the company’s chief product officer since 2015.
After his first year with the company, he left to take a job at Google where he worked on mobile strategy and products.
In 2017, DePaulis first startup was acquired by Google for a reported $400 million, but DePauls biggest success story came a few years later when the company acquired DePaulos new mobile product called Go to Sleep.
Go to Sleeping is an app that allows people to wake up at the click of a button, then switch on their device’s alarm clock to go to sleep.
It has since been a big success and it’s a mobile-first product that works on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
DePaul said Go to Go to sleep has grown in popularity and the company now employs more than 5,000 people in more than 150 countries.
Now, Go to go sleep has become a mobile marketing success story as well.
The company has more than 3 million active users, including more than 10 million people in the United States alone.
DePauls team also partnered with mobile-focused startup Binge On to offer its users a one-time free trial of the service, which is also available for all of Go toGo’s iOS and Android users.
DePaul says he’s still learning about the business model of mobile technology, but he’s glad that he spent the first five years of his career in the industry.
“I’ve got to say, it’s not something I ever imagined,” DePancys partner at Go toSleep said in a statement.
“Now I’m doing the things I love.
I’m getting to work with people that have an expertise in that space.”
